Table with inlaid semi-precious stones. Made in Florence, the table was presented in 1709 to Frederik IV from the Grand Duke of Tuscany.

Table with stone top, in which are cut marking lines. It was originally intended for use as a calculating board, but also employed as a “shove-halfpenny” board. Foot from 18th century.

The 18th century was initiated with yet another war between Denmark and Sweden. For Denmark the war was brief, but for Sweden it was the beginning of the Great Nordic War, which Denmark became part of again from 1709.
