The Royal Christmas Heart Workshop  

Take in the Christmas magic at our Royal Christmas Heart Workshop, where children and adults can make their own decorative Christmas hearts in felt, free of charge. The small felt hearts are inspired by a royal Christmas heart from the 1800s that was found among Christian IX’s personal papers.

The Royal Christmas Heart Workshop is open from 10.00 to 16.00 every Saturday and Sunday during Advent (from 30 November to 22 December) as well as on 23 December and from 26 to 29 December.

You will find the Royal Christmas Heart Workshop in our beautiful Garden Room. Here we have decorated the Christmas tree with historical royal Christmas ornaments, so that it looks as it might have looked during the 1920s, when Queen Alexandrine and Christian X lived at the palace.

Practical details

Price: The Royal Christmas Heart Workshop is free with the price of admission. As always, the Amalienborg Museum offers free admission to children and young people aged under 18.

Time and place: The workshop is open during the museum’s opening hours on Saturday, 30 November; Sunday, 1 December; Saturday, 7 December; Sunday, 8 December; Saturday, 14 December; Sunday, 15 December; Saturday, 21 December; Sunday, 22 December; Monday, 23 December; Thursday, 26 December; Friday, 27 December; Saturday, 28 December; and Sunday, 29 December.
